I’ve sunk well over 250 hours into Crimson Desert across closed beta and the full launch, and I wasted so much of that early time grinding the wrong way, losing PvP fights I should have won, and missing obvious tricks that would have saved me weeks of effort. I’ve put together this list of legitimate crimson desert hacks to help you skip the frustrating learning curve and get the most out of every hour you spend in the game. None of these are sketchy cheats that will get your account banned, just underused mechanics and tricks most players don’t discover until they’ve played for hundreds of hours.
Hidden Crimson Desert Hacks for Faster Resource Farming
Farming is one of the most tedious parts of Crimson Desert, but these tricks cut my farming time almost in half without any extra effort. A lot of players stick to the same popular resource nodes they find on generic guides, but those spots are always crowded, so you end up fighting other players for spawns and getting way less resources per hour. You don’t have to spend all your time swinging a pickaxe or cutting trees if you work smarter, not harder.
- Use your secondary character to camp high-yield nodes while you main does story quests, you’ll collect 40% more resources per hour without extra effort. You don’t even have to switch characters to claim the loot, it will show up in your shared storage automatically.
- Equip the cheap miner’s charm you get from the first side quest in Olvia, it boosts rare resource drop rate by 12% and most players sell it by mistake because they think it’s a low-level throwaway item.
- Farm during in-game rainstorms, wood and plant resource drop rates jump 20% during this weather effect that most players ignore to avoid getting their gear wet. The rain doesn’t actually have any negative impact on your stats, so it’s free extra loot.
For example, I used to spend 2 hours a day farming iron ore to upgrade my gear, but with these tricks I get the same amount of ore in 45 minutes. That extra time lets me focus on more fun parts of the game like PvP or boss fights. Always prioritize nodes with 2+ resource types too, so you get double drops per swing instead of only one resource at a time.
PvP Hacks That Don’t Require Expensive Top-Tier Gear
A lot of new players avoid PvP entirely because they think they need to spend hundreds of hours grinding for perfect gear to win, but that’s not true at all. I regularly beat players with 20% higher gear scores than me just by using basic mechanics most people don’t know about. You don’t have to be the best player on the server to hold your own in open world PvP or arena matches.
First, master the dodge cancel trick that lets you chain 3 dodges in a row without stamina cooldown. All you have to do is tap the light attack button right as your dodge animation ends, and your stamina bar will refill halfway instantly. It takes a little practice to get the timing right, but once you do you can get out of stun locks or chase down fleeing players easily.
Also, use terrain to your advantage whenever possible. If you’re playing a ranged class, stand on high ledges where melee players can’t reach you without climbing, which gives you 3+ seconds of free hits before they even get close. Always keep a stack of speed potions in your quick slot too, they cost almost nothing but let you outrun or catch up to players 90% of the time if they’re not using them too.
I once beat a player who was wearing full legendary gear just by using these tricks. They were so confused they messaged me after the fight asking what “pay to win hacks” I was using, I just laughed and told them it was just basic game mechanics. You don’t need to spend real money to win PvP fights, you just need to know what you’re doing.
Boss Fight Hacks to Beat Even the Hardest World Bosses Solo
Most players assume you need a full raid group to take down world bosses, but you can solo almost every early and mid-game boss if you know their patterns. I soloed the Red Nose boss at level 32 when most players wait until level 40 to even attempt it, and I didn’t have any special gear. The trick is to stop trying to tank every hit and focus on avoiding the big one-shot attacks that take out most groups.
Every boss in the game has a 2-second tell before they use their one-shot attack, it’s a small animation shift most players miss. For Red Nose, it’s when he stomps his left foot twice before swinging his axe, if you dodge to the side right after the second stomp you’ll avoid the attack entirely. Spend a few minutes watching the boss’s animations before you start attacking, and you’ll pick up on these tells really fast.
Also, use your companion to draw aggro if you’re playing a squishy class. Send your wolf or hawk in first, and the boss will focus it for 10 full seconds, giving you time to deal massive damage to its weak spot on the back. Bring 2 types of healing potions too: one that heals over time, and one that instant heals, so you can stack them when you’re low on health instead of waiting for cooldowns.
You don’t get extra loot for bringing a group, so soloing bosses means you get all the rare drops for yourself. I’ve gotten 3 legendary pieces of gear from soloing world bosses, and I didn’t have to split them with 10 other players. It’s way more worth the effort than joining random raid groups where you might not get any loot at all.
Quality of Life Hacks to Cut Down on Grind Time
A lot of the most useful hacks in Crimson Desert don’t even affect combat or farming, they just make the game less tedious to play. I used to spend almost 30 minutes a day sorting through my inventory, fast traveling, and scrolling through menus to find items, but these tricks cut that time down to 5 minutes max. Small changes add up to a lot of extra play time for the fun parts of the game.
First, you can customize your quick slot bar to have 2 extra rows by going to settings > interface > quick slot expansion. Most players don’t know this setting exists, so they waste time scrolling through their inventory to find potions, mounts, or quest items. I have all my常用 items on the extra rows, so I never have to open my inventory mid-fight anymore.
You can also fast travel for free if you ride your mount to a waypoint first, instead of paying silver every time you teleport. Most players just pay the silver fee because they think it’s faster, but if you’re traveling to a spot you visit often, riding there once saves you thousands of silver over time. You also don’t have to wait for the teleport loading screen, which is a nice bonus.
Turn off auto-loot for common grey gear too, it saves you so much time sorting through inventory later. Grey gear sells for almost no silver, so it’s not worth picking up unless you’re really short on cash. You can adjust the auto-loot settings to only pick up green or higher quality items, so you never have to delete 20 pieces of trash gear after a farming run again.
All of these crimson desert hacks are totally legitimate, so you don’t have to worry about getting your account banned for using them. They’re just tricks the game never explains to new players, and most people don’t find them on their own until they’ve put hundreds of hours into the game. Test them out one by one to see what works for your playstyle, and don’t be afraid to tweak them to fit what you enjoy doing most in the game. If you have any other underused tricks you love using, feel free to share them in the comments below.
